AT&T announced Tuesday that it has finished rolling out U-verse Total Home DVR, which is now available in 69 markets where the telco offers IPTV service.
Total Home DVR, introduced in September, lets U-verse TV customers play back recorded programs from a central DVR to any set-top in the home.
AT&T includes the multiroom DVR feature for no charge, although each additional U-verse receiver is an additional $5 per month. The feature, developed by Microsoft as part of its Mediaroom IPTV platform, supports up to four simultaneous SD streams and up to three simultaneous HD streams.
The telco’s final 10 markets to receive Total Home DVR this week are: Bakersfield, Calif.; Dayton, Ohio; Green Bay, Wis.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Little Rock, Ark.; Miami; South Bend, Ind.; Tulsa, Okla.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Wichita, Kan.
The U-verse network passed 14 million living units in 15 states as of the end of the third quarter.
