A semiretired Charter Communications subscriber has replaced her 10-year-old car with a new Honda Civic Hybrid she won as the sweepstakes prize in the operator's “Save Green, Go Green” acquisition drive.
Barbara Shuttleworth of St. Charles, Mo. had her name drawn out of 124,063 subscribers who entered for a chance to win the car. She received the keys to her prize from the company's president and CEO Neil Smit in St. Louis on Nov. 14. Shuttleworth is a Charter triple-play consumer.
The car giveaway was just the latest high-profile promotion by the operator, which has alsosponsored a laptop-a-day giveaway and is currently offering a chance to win an Xbox.
