DirecTV is now offering local HD programming in 115 markets following the launch Wednesday of HD local channels in Des Moines-Ames, Iowa; El Paso, Texas; Fort Wayne, Ind.; La Crosse-Eau Claire, Wis.; Peoria-Bloomington, Ill. and Rockford, Ill.
With the launch of the six new HDTV markets, DirecTV now offers access to local HD broadcast channels to more than 87% of U.S. TV households.
