Cox Media in Hampton Roads, Va., has named James B. Speller Jr. as a local account executive. He comes from HH&B Insurance in Virginia Beach, where he was a property and casualty insurance agent.
Also, Cox Media in Hampton Roads elevated Jeremy Hester to local account executive at its LNC5 local news channel. He had been a sales assistant.
Discovery Channel
Gena McCarthy was promoted to senior vice president, development and production at Discovery Channel. She had been VP, development.
Fox Cable Networks
Fox Cable Networks has elevated Jessica Fang to vice president, national accounts. She had been director, national accounts.
FX
FX has promoted Lance Reiss to vice president of marketing. He had been director, marketing and advertising.
Golf Channel
The Golf Channel has named Joe Riley as senior director of news. He comes from Comcast SportsNet Chicago, where he was senior d irector of news.
Also, Bill Hentschel has joined Golf as senior director, studio production,. He comes from NBA TV, where he was coordinating producer.
And Courtney Holt has joined Golf as director, booking and player relations. She comes from Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, where she handled booking and player relations and was producer of Daily News Live.
MGM
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios has named Bruce Tuchman president, MGM Networks, responsible for the studio's interests in more than 20 pay TV channels in 125 countries. He had been executive VP of the unit.
NDS Group
NDS Group has named Jesper Knutsson as vice president, general manager of sales, NDS Americas. He had been NDS's VP, interactive TV, based in Denmark.
Also, Caroline Le Bigot was named senior vice president, EMEA and Latin America and general manager, NDS France. She was VP, broadband access products for Europe at Thomson.
And Sue Taylor was elevated to NDS senior vice president, general manager, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
OPA
The Online Publishers Association has added Michael Drobac as vice president of government affairs, a new post. He had been director, government affairs at IAC/InterActiveCorp.

Gerry Logue was tapped as vice president, creative director at Oxygen Media. Formerly senior VP, executive creative director of advertising, promotion and production at Lifetime Networks, he most recently founded his own branding and lifestyle company.
Also, Oxygen named Barbara Shornick vice president, sales and marketing. She had been a consultant.

Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park has named Mike Leathers president and co-creative director of its Television Division. He had been senior VP, creative director.
Also, Sarah Pierce was named senior vice president and co-creative director. She comes from NBC Universal Cable Networks Group, where she was a Burbank, Calif.-based VP, on-air promotion, emerging networks.
