Beck Makes His Fox News Debut Jan. 19

Show Will Air Weekdays At 5 P.M.

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 12/1/2008 10:14:00 AM

Glenn Beck will begin his Fox News Channel show on Jan. 19.

The self-titled, one-hour program will air weekdays at 5 p.m. and feature an array of guests and topics from the political, entertainment and business realms, with the host providing his unconventional perspective of the day’s top stories. Gresham Striegel, currently with Fox & Friends, will serve as the program’s senior producer.

Beck had been serving as host of Glenn Beck, a talk show on CNN’s Headline News that grew viewership in its 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. time slot by more than 200%, according to Fox News officials.

Prior to his TV career, Beck was a talk radio show host at WFLA-AM in Tampa, where he took his program to number one within his first year there. At 18, he began his radio career in Corpus Christi, Texas as the youngest top 40 morning show disc jockey, before later moving on to become a top disc jockey in such major markets as Houston, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Phoenix and New Haven, Conn.
