OnScreen Media Summit: Americans Have 'Full-On Video Obsession'

CAB’s Cunningham Discusses Record-Setting Video Consumption Across TV, New-Media Platform

By Multichannel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 12/5/2008 9:26:00 AM

New York -- Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau president and CEO Sean Cunningham says Americans, whatever the vehicle, can’t seem to get enough video.

Speaking at the inaugural “B&C-Multichannel OnScreen Media Summit” here Dec. 2, Cunningham cited record-setting video consumption on iPods, cell phones and online, plus such platforms as Hulu and You Tube, saying that Americans have “a full-on video obsession.” But all of that hasn’t diminished their enthusiasm for their traditional way to watch images and programming: linear TV.
