Sportsman Channel Snares DirecTV Deal
Network Will Bow On Choice XTRA Package By End Of January

The Sportsman Channel has inked a distribution agreement with DirecTV that will make it available to the satellite leader’s subscriber base by the end of January.
The dedicated hunting and fishing channel will be positioned on DirectTV’s Choice XTRA package. Deal terms between the provider and the network’s parent, Intermedia Outdoors, Inc., were not disclosed.
“The Sportsman Channel and its terrific lineup of branded outdoor programming is a welcome addition to our robust programming lineup,” said Derek Chang, executive vice president, content strategy and development at DirecTV, in a statement. “This channel is a must-have for outdoor-enthusiasts and reinforces DirecTV’s position as the leading provider of outdoor programming to consumers.”
