SureWest Serves Up New Customer Site

Enhanced E-Mail, Bill-Paying Services Among Features

By Linda Haugsted -- Multichannel News, 12/9/2008 10:32:00 AM

Triple-play provider SureWest Communications of Roseville, Calif. has launched a consumer home page, www.surewest.net that provides customization features and other customer services.

In addition to personalized news, sports and entertainment information at the landing page, consumers can access online bill paying services, get customer support and access the company's subscriber rewards program and connect with enhanced e-mail services. The improvements mean customers don't have to search through surewest.com and surewest.net to find the varied features.

The new home page is accessible even to customers who don't buy their Internet connectivity from SureWest. Those customers can reach the customized page via Hotmail, Google or Yahoo!

"We structured the site to allow us to easily add more features in the coming months we plan to provide additional national and local online video content, Web site creation tools and media sharing of video, music and photos," said Peter Drozdoff, SureWest's vice president of marketing.

The upgraded Web site is available now to customers in Sacramento, Calif. SureWest's Kansas City regional customers will have access to the new features next year.
