Promotion, Offering $4,500 Grand Prize, Runs Into New Year

World Fishing Network HD and Dish Network are giving consumers a chance to go after some cash in the pond.
The network and its distribution partner are offering a $4,500 grand prize as part of their “Bring WFN HD Home for the Holidays on DishNetwork”sweepstakes.
The promotion, which ends Jan. 9, is being touted on-air by Dish and WFN HD, on the WFN Web site and through independent authorized Dish network retailers.
“We had plenty of ideas for grand prizes, from boats and fishing expeditions to rods and reels, but right on the heels of the holiday shopping season and during this time of economic uncertainty we figured cash would be king among consumers,” said WFN president Mark Rubinstein in a statement. “Since our launch together earlier this year, we have enjoyed partnering with Dish Network to provide WFN HD to the underserved community of sport and leisure fishing enthusiasts.”
