Santa Monica, Calif.-based visual effects shop a52 has added Andy McKenna as lead flame artist. He had been VFX supervisor and lead flame artist at Moving Pixels.

Canoe

Cable advanced-ad consortium Canoe has named John F. Collins as senior vice president, product development. He comes from Time Warner Cable, where he was group VP, advanced advertising technologies.

Also, Canoe named Bruce Dennler as senior vice president and chief relationship officer, agency relations. He had been president of Nielsen Entertainment.

And Mark Mitchell was tapped as senior vice president, chief relationship officer, network relations. He comes from Premiere Retail Networks.

Cartoon Network

Josh Feldman was upped to vice president and New York sales manager of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim Ad Sales. He had been VP, adult swim ad sales.

CatholicTV

Tim Stonesifer was elevated to graphics and on-air promotion manager at CatholicTV. He had been production assistant.

Also, the network added Patrick O’Neil as production assistant and Brian Swift as producer.

CBS

CBS Corp. has upped Joseph Ianniello to deputy chief financial officer. He had been senior VP, chief development officer and treasurer.

Chadbourne & Parke

New York-based law firm Chadbourne & Parke has added James A. Stenger as counsel in its communications, media and technology practice. He comes from Thelen LLP.

Comcast Spotlight

Teresa Lucido has joined Comcast Spotlight as senior director of sales, Michigan. She comes from Detroit Newspapers, where she was VP, advertising sales.

Cox

Cox Communications has promoted Leo Brennan as chief operating officer, based in the MSO’s Atlanta headquarters. He had been senior vice president and general manager of Cox’s Las Vegas system.

CSN Bay Area

Lee Siegel has joined Comcast SportsNet Bay Area as assistant news director. He comes from Golf Channel, where he was senior producer for news and talk shows.

Current Media

Joanna Drake Earl was elevated to chief operating offer of San Francisco-based programmer Current Media. She had been president of new media.

Fox Sports Int’l

Fox Sports International has named Bhavesh Patel vice president, interactive media. He comes from the National Basketball Association, where he was the league’s director of global digital media.

FSN Florida

Fox Sports Networks has named Steve Liverani as senior vice president and general manager of FSN Florida and Sun Sports. He had been senior VP and GM of FSN Ohio.

Also, former FSN Florida and Sun Sports senior VP and GM Cathy Weeden was named general manager of Gator Sports Marketing, a joint venture of FSN Florida/Sun Sports and IMG.

Golf Channel

Golf Channel has elevated Shannon O’Neill to general manager, New Media Group. He had been senior VP, new media and business development.

Also, Jeff Foster advanced to senior vice president of new media sales.

Bill Keating has also joined Golf as vice president, digital sales.

Finally, Rex Hogard has joined GolfChannel.com as senior writer. He had been a senior writer covering the PGA Tour for Golfweek magazine.

Level 3

Jeff K. Storey was named president and chief operating officer of Broomfield, Colo-based Level 3 Communications. He comes from Leucadia National Corp., where he served as president of Leucadia Telecommunications Group.

MGM

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios has named Erik Ellner as senior vice president of business affairs. He comes from New Line Pictures.

NuLink

Newnan, Ga.-based service provider NuLink has elevated Lana Mobley to vice president and general manager. She had been director of sales.

Also, Steve Barnette was named vice president, chief financial officer. He had been CFO and VP, finance of Integrated Broadband Services in Kenesaw, Ga.

OWN

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network has tapped Timothy Kuryak and Jill Dickerson as vice president, programming. Kuryak had been VP, West Coast production and development at Planet Green; Dickerson was head writer and producer for MTV’s The Real World.

Scripps Networks

Scripps Networks Digital has added Alexis Mersel as vice president and site director of FineLiving.com. She was associate VP and product director at MarthaStewart.com.

Sportsman

The Sportsman Channel has added Matt Cihon as regional manager, affiliate relations, based in Denver. He comes from Starz Entertainment, where he was an account manager.

TOA Technologies

Cleveland-based TOA Technologies has named David Troll general manager, North America. He comes from D&B.

Also, Steven Gershik has joined TOA as vice president of marketing. He was VP, marketing at Eloqua.
