Style, G4 Expand Licensing Programs

New Agencies Will Focus on Programs With Licensees and Retailers

By Linda Moss -- Multichannel News, 12/16/2008 5:20:00 AM

Comcast Entertainment Group Tuesday appointed the licensing agencies ACI Licensing and Sloane Vision Unlimited to develop strategic licensing and merchandise programs for The Style Network and G4.

The agencies will focus on comprehensive programs with licensees and retailers and explore non-traditional licensing opportunities to reflect the core attributes of the brands.

ACI Licensing will manage the brand licensing program for The Style Network, including popular series Clean House and Dress My Nest, and Sloane Vision Unlimited will develop programs for G4, including the network's signature series Attack of theShow and Code Monkeys.

"We have identified agencies that have the true capabilities to develop and build robust licensing opportunities for each brand," David Palmer, Comcast Entertainment’s senior vice president of brand development and talent alliances, said in a prepared statement.

"As Style and G4 continue their ongoing growth and success, we will look to partner with licensees and retailers to create direct-to-retail merchandise programs that are lifestyle driven and evocative of the brands."
