NFL Network will present Insight Bowl on New Year’s Eve, with local market carriers for both participating schools on board for the high-definition telecast.
The 20th annual Insight Bowl matches the Big Ten’s Minnesota Golden Gophers against the Big 12’s Kansas Jayhawks from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. at 6 p.m. (ET) on the last day of 2008. Paul Burmeister and Mike Mayock will call the contest, while Lindsay Soto provides sideline insights. Pre-game coverage begins at 5 p.m. with College Football Now.
Comcast, which typically positions NFL Network on a sports tier, will run a 24-hour free preview of the service in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, kicking off at 5 p.m..that evening. The nation’s leading operator will distribute the channel on its “digital starter” tier, which reaches 65% of the its basic subscribers.
In Kansas City, the game will be televised on Fox affiliate, WDAF-TV. Kansas City is a market served predominantly by Time Warner Cable, which does not have a carriage contract with the NFL Network.

We still cannot receive the Insight Bowl @ 5:37 CT.
At this point, we are not very impressed with Comcast since we called the University of MN two times and they informed us of the start time coverage as well as calling Comcast and given the same information. Called Cocast a second time and waited and waited. Your plan is not a very good PR move.
