By Multichannel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 12/30/2008 11:53:00 PM MT

The N will ring in 2009 by welcoming home former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes with the premiere of sitcom What I Like About You.

The network has acquired the entire four-season, 86-episode collection from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Deal terms were not disclosed

The series kicks off with a 24-hour stunt on Jan. 1, beginning at noon (ET). Beginning Jan. 2, through Jan. 11, The N will run a marathon of What I Like About You every evening from 8 p.m. to midnight. On Jan. 12, the series moves to its regular time slot, weeknights from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Set in New York City, the half-hour comedy follows the life of livewire teen Holly (Amanda Bynes) who shares an apartment with her older sister Val (90210’s, Jennie Garth).

“Amanda Bynes is a true star to The N’s teen audience and we are thrilled to have her back in the Nickelodeon family,” said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, senior vice president and general anager, The N, in a statement. “Our viewers who already adore Amanda from her Nickelodeon series The Amanda Show will now get an updated version of the loveable klutz on What I Like About You.”
