Entropic Ships 20 Million MoCA Chips

Motorola, Actiontex, Jabil, Westell Are Top Customers

Entropic Communications has shipped more than 20 million c.Link chip sets, which support the Multimedia over Coax Alliance standards for home networking.

Entropic’s major customer is Motorola; others include Actiontec Electronics, Jabil Circuit and Westell.

The c.Link chips are currently the only components available for MoCA home networking standard. The chip sets provide PHY data rates of 250 Mbps and MAC layer throughput up to 175 Mbps.

Members of MoCA include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Verizon Communications, Cisco Systems and Motorola.
