Harron Communications-owned MetroCast cable systems in Mississippi, acquired last year, have deployed Cedar Point Communications Safari C3 switches for digital phone delivery.
Cedar Point, which has had a long supplier relationship with MetroCast, will help the operator offer voice services as part of bundled offerings available to about 50,000 subscribers, the vendor said. Cedar Point is replacing Metaswitch equipment in those systems, it said.
MetroCast intends to install a fiber-optic network to bridge North and South Mississippi, the vendor said.
