ESPNOutdoors.com, Raceway Media Ink Classified Deal

Hunting, Fishing Ads Will Be Cross-Promoted On Raceway Media Sites

By Linda Haugsted -- Multichannel News, 1/14/2009 5:34:00 AM

ESPNOutdoors.com has formed a partnership with Raceway Media, parent company of RacingJunk.com, to launch online classified advertisements relating to hunting, fishing and camping categories at the ESPNOutdoors site.

The new classifieds debuted Jan. 14 as the first such ads at that Web site.

The classifieds will be powered by Raceway Media, which will be responsible for the technology and operations for buyers, sellers and business-to-business services. The partners will also collaborate on display advertising within the section.

The new classifieds section will be cross-promoted on sites owned and operated by Raceway Media.

Registration for the online classifieds will be free and open to any user. They may place two ads a month. Users can purchase upgraded ads with "featured" placement, added photos or super-sized ads. The pricing ranges from $6.95 a month to $49.95 for an annual upgrade. Businesses can purchase an account, starting at $55 a month, and be placed in the guides/lodging category for hunting and fishing.
