Marking its third major carriage renewal in the past month, Viacom has reached a new deal for its MTV Networks with Dish Network, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The pact covers services such as MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. Dish Network declined to comment on the new multiyear deal, but MTVN spokesman Mark Jafar confirmed it.
As part of the affiliation agreement, The Journal reported, Viacom's content will be licensed to Sling.com, the online video portal of Sling Media, which Dish's Network's sister company EchoStar acquired in 2007 for $380 million.
Just last week Viacom announced that it had completed a carriage renewal with AT&T for MTVN and BET Networks.
And on New Year's Eve, following a nasty public battle, Time Warner Cable reached an agreement in principle with Viacom for 19 MTVN channels.
