The Screen Actors Guild awards had a familiar ring to them, something that no doubt pleased certain actors and executives at AMC, HBO and NBC.
Meanwhile,.the premium network continued to reap the accolades for its miniseries John Adams.
Paul Giamatti added a SAG actor statue to his Emmy and Globe for his portrayal of our second president. Linda Linney, his co-star and on-screen wife in the miniseries, also pulled a hat trick as Abigail Adams, garnering a SAG award, alongside earlier Emmy and Globe wins.
If Mad Men went three for three with the TV awards, Jon Hamm, who plays faux agency creative director and philanderer Don Draper, was again denied top actor honors. Hugh Laurie was SAG's best male actor in a drama series for his performance as the brilliant, but irascible Dr. Gregory House in Fox's House.
NBC's 30 Rock also continued to score big, with its cast recognized as the best ensemble in a comedy, while Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin took home SAG actors for their roles as Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy, respectively. The series and the two actors also have Emmys and Globes on their mantles.
TNT and TBS simulcast the 15th annual SAG Awards on Sunday night.
