BlueHighways TV has reached a distribution agreement with JetBroadband, which will begin rolling out the network to its Rustburg, Crewe, Wytheville, Redwood, Bedford, and Radford, Va., cable systems in early February, officials said Monday.
"The markets that JetBroadband serves are ideal for BlueHighways TV. Our original Americana programming will really resonate with their customers," BlueHighways TV CEO Stan Hitchcock said in a prepared statement. "Roots music originated in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia - the center of JetBroadband's service area."
BlueHighways TV's original programming features roots music, including bluegrass, blues, folk, western, gospel and traditional country, outdoor adventure and agriculture, lifestyle, cooking, equestrian and a variety of other subjects valued by a wide and growing audience.
"We added BlueHighways TV to our programming line-up because we saw the value of offering a channel that focuses on the culture and values that are the bedrock of the communities we serve," JetBroadband president Dave Baum said in a prepared statement. "Bluegrass and Gospel music and the Americana culture flourish in our coverage areas."
JetBroadband is a broadband communications company focused on serving medium-sized communities in Virginia and West Virginia.
