CMOs, CTOs To Take Stage At Cable Show '09

Time Warner Cable Chiddix to Lead Tech Discussion; CTAM's Beales Moderates Marketing Session

Top cable marketers and technologists are set to chew the fat in two sessions at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's Cable Show '09, in Washington, D.C., April 1-3.

The technology session, "Cable Technology and the Platform for Change," is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m. It will be moderated by cable-technology veteran and former Time Warner Cable chief technology officer Jim Chiddix, who serves on the boards of several cable and technology companies, including Virgin Media.

Panelists are to include: Jim Blackley, Cablevision Systems senior vice president of engineering & technology; Michael Lee, Rogers Communications chief strategy officer; Mike LaJoie, Time Warner Cable executive vice president & CTO; and Tony Werner, Comcast executive vice president & CTO.

The session will also serve as the CTO roundtable for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers' Emerging Technologies conference.

The special marketing session, "Welcome to the Jungle: Marketing to Win," will be produced in partnership with the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, and will be moderated by CTAM president and CEO Char Beales.

Scheduled for Friday, April 3 at 11 a.m., the marketing panel is to feature: Jerry Dow, Suddenlink Communications CMO; Jonathan Hargis, Cablevision senior vice president of marketing & advertising; Sam Howe, Time Warner Cable executive vice president & CMO; Peter Intermaggio, Comcast senior vice president of marketing communications; and Joe Rooney, Cox Communications CMO.
