VH1 Going Mobile With Best Week Ever Game

Net Also Setting Up Other Subscription Applications

Thomas Umstead -- Multichannel News, 2/11/2009 3:52:50 PM

VH1 is dialing up new content and gaming applications for its mobile offerings.

The network announced Wednesday that its VH1 Mobile division will launch a new trivia game based on its popular TV series Best Week Ever, featuring questions based on the latest pop culture news and segments from the previous broadcasts, according to the network.
In addition the subscription game -- which will be available to Alltel, Boost, Nextel, Sprint and Verizon Wireless users -- will offer three daily trivia tournaments that will net winners prizes like game consoles and MP3 players.
Other new applications include a chat service based on the new season of reality show I Love Money 2; a $5.99 monthly subscription ringtone service that features content from such artists as Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce and The Rolling Stones; VH1 Mobile iPhone applications, including celebrity pictures under  the "VH1 Photos" banner;  and "VH1 Sneak Peeks," which gives users access to clips of VH1's hottest shows.
