VH1 Celebrates African-Americans With 'Black To Future'

David Alan Grier To Host Four-Part Cultural Special Next Week

VH1 will celebrate Black History Month with a four-part special commemorating African-Americans' contributions to pop culture.
Hosted by David Alan Grier, Black to the Future will run from Feb. 24-27, bowing each night at 9 p.m.
Black to the Future will take viewers on a nostalgic journey of all people and things African-American -- the music, the people, the movies, TV shows, products, fashions, fads, trends, scandals and events. On tap a look at music from Barry White to Beyonce and on TV roster that checks in on Roots and The Jeffersons. The special also will look reminisce about Michael Jackson's white glove became an instant fashion sensation, when Michael Jordan became the greatest basketball player and on Barack Obama's election as America's first African-American president.
Among those who will reflect on the times that were: Nick Cannon, Method Man, Ice-T, Jesse Jackson, Bobby Brown, Sherri Shephard, Salt-N-Pepa, Chilli, Macy Gray and Tommy Davidson
Black to the Future is a production of VH1, with Karla Hidalgo, Shelly Tatro and Jeff Olde, serving as executive producers.
