The following is a list of upcoming original cable programming from Feb. 23, 2009, to May 2009. “Original programming” means brand-new premieres, no acquired shows or fare available via broadcast TV, home video or in movie theaters. Specials spun off of existing series are included, but new episodes of established series do not qualify (see separate list online). The list includes mostly basic-cable networks with large distribution, though some premium networks have been included. The list was compiled by Multichannel News contributor Leslie Jaye Goff.
