Eight may not be enough, but USA Network has extended its current primetime win streak to that number.
The "characters" network averaged a 2.6 household rating, boosted by its Monday WWE lineup and mid-season finales for Monk and Psych, easily won the Feb. 16 through Feb. 22 span, according to a Disney ABC Media Networks analysis of Nielsen Media Research live + same-day data. Disney Channel and Fox News Channel were tied for second, both at a 1.9 average.
TNT, a week removed from its NBA All-Star weekend action, fell back to fourth, with a 1.5 mark.
Sister service TBS was fifth with a 1.5 average, followed by 1.3 for both Nick at Nite and ESPN at a 1.3 apiece. Rounding out the top 10 were Cartoon Network, History and A&E Network, all with a 1.1 mark.
ABF Family and Hallmark Channel fell just outside that group, as each averaged a 1.0 for the week.
The second hour of WWE Monday Night Raw on Feb. 16 set the pace for the week, averaging 6.4 million viewers. The 9 p.m. hour was fourth with some 5.54 million watchers. Wrestling's lead-in that night, a syndicated showing of NCIS, was sixth with 4.96 million in the 8 p.m. hour.
TNT's The Closer was second with 5.89 million watchers in the time period as the earlier hour of WWE action. Monk's seventh (and last) mid-season finale on Feb. 20 was third with 5.54, while Psych's third mid-season ender was seventh with 4.83 million. The latest installment of USA' spy series Burn Notice was ninth with 4.68 million.
Kids fare grabbed the remaining top 10 spots: Nick's 7:30 p.m. airing of ICarly on Feb. 16 scored with almost 5.09 million watchers to rank fifth; Nick's SpongeBob SquarePants was eighth with 4.68 million at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 21; and the premiere of Disney Channel telefilm Dadnapped was 10th with 4.62 million on Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to 9:40 p.m.
