Showtime's 'L Word' Finishes Hot

Lesbian Series Finale Is Third Most-Watched Episode

A record number of viewers tuned in Sunday to see the last word on Showtime's lesbian series The L Word.

The show, which starred Jennifer Beals, Kate French and Pam Grier, drew 756,000 viewers for its March 8 sixth and final season finale, the highest-viewed season concluder for the show and third most-watched show in series history, according to Showtime executives.

Leading up to the finale, The L Word averaging 1.6 million viewers when DVR viewing was factored in, according to Showtime.
