Aurora Networks has added Ed Kopakowski as Northeast director, U.S. regional marketing sales. He comes from Pacific Broadband Networks.

Also, Richard Olson joined Aurora as Western U.S. market regional account manager from C-COR.

Discovery

Discovery Communications has upped Kelly Day to chief operating officer of its Digital Media and Commerce division, from chief operating officer of the commerce unit.

Comcast Spotlight

Comcast Spotlight has elevated Kellie Grutko to vice president, marketing, adding company-wide responsibility for strategic marketing, branding, promotions, communications and corporate creative-services operations.

Ensequence

Interactive-TV firm Ensequence has added Andy Addis as senior vice president, marketing and development from Hillcrest Labs, where he was executive VP.

Also, Tom Epes joined Ensequence as senior vice president of sales from Microsoft, where he was GM, leading commercial and consumer sales and business-development efforts.

FS Detroit

Marcia Holland Turner has joined Fox Sports Detroit as general sales manager. She comes from Detroit Newspapers, where she was senior sales director.

Fleischman & Harding

John R. Willner has joined law firm Fleischman & Harding in Washington, D.C., as a partner specializing in broadcasting and cable TV. He comes from Bryan Cave.

NBC Local Media

Bradley Soroca was elevated to senior vice president, marketing at NBC Local Media Group, from VP, marketing, Local Media digital group.

Next New Networks

Denise Garcia has joined Next New Networks as senior vice president, sales, from Vibrant Media, where she was senior VP, corporate strategy and research.

Time Warner Cable

Fernando Laguarda has joined Time Warner Cable as Washington, D.C.-based vice president, external affairs and policy counsel. He was a partner at Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis.

SeaChange

Ed Dunbar was named president, chief operating officer of VOD software vendor SeaChange International. He was general manager of Comcast’s Atlanta region.

Suddenlink

Suddenlink Communications has named Tyler Nau vice president, finance of its Dallas-based commercial and advertising operations organization. Former VP, operations of the MSO’s Central region, he most recently worked for a Dallas-area private-equity firm.

Turner Broadcasting System has elevated Sam Linsky to Los Angeles-based senior vice president, current programming, TNT and TBS, from director.
