E! Greenlights Reality Pair
Los Angeles — E! will continue to focus on the lives of Hollywood families with two new reality shows set to debut later this year.
The network will premiere in August Kourtney and Khloe in Miami, a spinoff of the network’s popular reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kardashian sisters Khloe and Kourtney will leave the California-based clan and head to Miami as part of a new eight-episode series, according to network officials.
The original series continues to draw viewers in its third season. Through six episodes, Keeping Up With the Kardashians is averaging 1.5 million viewers, up from 1.4 million last season. The network, however, has yet to greenlight a fourth season of the popular series.
The network will also follow the lives of actor Lorenzo Lamas and his family as part of a new reality series tentatively titled The Lamas Family, set to debut this Fall.
VH1 Ramps Up Five New Series
New York — VH1 is boosting its reality series lineup with the renewal of five shows and the launch of a new show.
The network announced orders for second seasons of I Want to Work for Diddy (fall premiere), Brooke Knows Best (this spring), Gotti’s Way 2 and Tool Academy (Aug. 2). Moreover, the MTV Network service has added a third season of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew (fall debut).
Speaking of Dr. Drew Pinsky, VH1, in a spinoff, will explore the world of sex addiction with Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew. The show also debuts this fall.
VH1 soon will bring back one of its most popular reality stars in Tiffany Pollard, better known as New York. New York Goes to Work bows May 4 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).
