Bill Blummer was named vice president, U.S. sales at digital ad-services firm AdGent 007. He comes from CBS Digital Media, where he directed national online advertising sales.

BET Networks

BET Networks has upped Darrell Walker to executive vice president, general counsel from executive VP, business affairs.

Cox

Cox Communications has promoted Jeff Abney to vice president, business operations, from executive director.

Also, Philip Nutsugah was elevated to executive director, product development and management from director, product management.

And Craig Smithpeters advanced to executive director, interactive services engineering from director, interactive services.

Finally, Cox promoted Andy Weiss to executive director, wireless product operations from director, wireless product management.

Euronews

Lucian Sarb was named director, news and programs at Euronews. He was project manager and editorial director of Romanian business-news network The Money Channel.

GlobeCast

David Justin was named CEO America of GlobeCast. He was CEO of GlobeCast Asia.

Inspiration

Marc Favaro was promoted to executive vice president, worldwide sales at The Inspiration Networks, from senior VP, ad sales.

Limelight Networks

George Fraser has been named vice president, EMEA and Asia Pacific at Limelight Networks. He comes from Motricity, where he was senior VP, global sales.

Metan

Gordon Chu has joined Los Angeles-based Metan Development Group as vice president, business development. He had been director, business development at Live Nation.

NBC Entertainment

Karen Horne was named director, entertainment diversity initiatives at NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. She comes from Loud Paint Entertainment, where she was creative consultant.

QVC

Rosetta Gyimesi has joined QVC as vice president of application services. She was VP and senior information officer at financial-services firm AIG.

John Kelly was named vice president, home merchandising at QVC. A former VP, home innovations at the network, he most recently was chief merchandising officer of Circuit City.

Science Channel

Deborah Adler Meyers has been elevated to general manager, Science Channel, and executive vice president, Discovery Emerging Networks. She was senior VP, programming, Discovery Emerging Networks.

SPT

Sony Pictures Television has added Madeline Agopian as vice president, marketing. She was VP, on-air promotion at Twentieth Television/MyNetworkTV.
