NBA Team's Opening Round Series Draws Nearly 1 Million Windy City Households

The Bulls season ended Saturday, but executives at Comcast SportsNet Chicago have reason to bask in the glow of the ratings the National Basketball Association club's series against the Boston Celtics generated in the Second City.Over six games -- contests one through three and five through seven -- Comcast SportsNet Chicago averaged a 4.59 household rating in the Chicago DMA, including a 2.41 mark against adults 25 to 54, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Those performances marked a 25% rise from the RSN's coverage of the Bulls' 2007 first-round series against Miami relative to households and 44% in the demo, said network officials
All told, 961,246 households tuned in the series on the RSN.
CSN Chicago's coverage was led by the Bulls' Game 6 triple OT win on April 30, which scored a 6.35 household rating and 222,0000 homes, peaking with a 10.3 and 360,000 households.
