Johnny Damon's walk-off home run against the Minnesota Twins Sunday helped the YES Network tie a ratings record for a non-Boston Red Sox weekend game. YES's coverage of the May 17 contest averaged a 6.6 household rating, translating into 490,000 TV households in the New York DMA. That matched the regional sports network's average for the Sept. 22, 2007 New York Yankees-Toronto Blue Jays game and was YES's highest-rated non-Red Sox telecast since Aug. 4, 2008, when the service scored a 6.8 mark for the Yanks-Rangers contest. Sunday's Yankees telecast ranked as the highest-rated game involving the Minnesota Twins ever on a New York regional sports network, eclipsing the 6.5 recorded on Sept. 30, 2004.
