RFD-TV, TWC Strike Carriage Deal

New York — RFD-TV has signed a multiyear affiliation agreement with Time Warner Cable.
Deal terms were not disclosed, but the pact enables RFD-TV to negotiate with Time Warner Cable’s systems.
Evidently, a number have already come to terms with the agricultural and rural lifestyle service: a network spokeswoman said RFD-TV will announce rollouts with the operator next week.
RFD-TV, which has distribution agreements with such distributors as Comcast Cable DirecTV, Dish Network, Charter Communications, Mediacom Communications, Suddenlink, Bresnan Communications and Verizon FiOS TV, counts more than 40 million subscribers.
In a recent interview, RFD-TV president and founder Patrick Gottsch said the network has been expanding, filling in the void left by The Nashville Network with rural viewers and those interested in that lifestyle.
He anticipated the service would reach 50 million homes by year-end.
