Media-measurement firm Rentrak is looking to establish a bigger presence on the East Coast, announcing Tuesday that it has opened a sales and research office in New York City.
The Portland, Ore.-based company's office in the Big Apple is located in the Chrysler Building, at 405 Lexington
Ave. -- less than a block away from the offices of Canoe Ventures, the advanced-advertising company formed by the six largest U.S. cable operators.
Rentrak measures theatrical, home entertainment, video-on-demand, DVR, linear television, interactive TV, broadband, and mobile content. The company processes daily VOD data representing 70 million set-top boxes from 28 MSOs.
"As part of our commitment to better serve our growing client base, we are pleased to open our first East Coast office at the epicenter of the East Coast media industry," Rentrak president and chief strategy officer Ken Papagan said in a statement.
