Carey Makes News Corp. Return On July 1
DirecTV Forms Committee To Find New President

As expected, DirecTV president and CEO Chase Carey is returning to News Corp. as deputy chairman, president and COO, effective July 1.
He reports to chairman Rupert Murdoch and will also join the board of directors.
DirecTV announced that he had informed the board of his decision to resign effective on that date.
DirecTV has formed a committee to advise on a search for a new president. In the interim Larry Hunter, executive vice president of legal, human resources and administration, will fill in as CEO.
