Adult Swim To Host Live New York, Comedy, Music Events

Shows At Santos Party House Start June 11

Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 6/5/2009 11:17:14 AM

Adult Swim will bring a series of live events to its fans in the Big Apple this summer.

Beginning June 11, Cartoon Network's late-night service will host an event at Santos Party House, every other Thursday, through Aug. 20. The events are free and open to those 18 and older.
To establish the lineup, Adult Swim tapped the stars and creators of its series like Delocated, Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! to curate their own slices of comedy and music heaven that will feature an array of unique talent chosen by each of them.
As of now, the lineup, subject to change, is as follows:

June 11 - Andrew W.K.; opening sets by: Cherie Lily, Aleister X, Bad Brilliance & Natalie Portman's Shaved Head;
June 25 - Jon Glaser (Delocated!), with The Woggles, Cheeseburger, A.C. Newman and masked burlesque dancers, The Pontani Sisters;
July 9 - Brendon Small (Metalocalypse), with Paul Green's School of Rock;
July 30 - Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! ),
with DJ Douggpound, Gildon Works, The Party Animals and Beat Jams;
Aug. 6 - Dave Willis (Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Squidbillies), with special guests; Aug. 20 - Christy Karacas (Superjail!), featuring a night of local New York bands
