B&C, Multichannel News Event Examines The VOD World

Philadelphia — Cable operators, content providers and other industry executives will gather in Philadelphia today to discuss all matters video on demand.
The B&C-Multichannel News On Demand Summit, a one-day event housed at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel, will explore an array of topics encompassing the delivery of on-demand content and what consumers want to watch on the advanced platform to how advertisers and marketing are shaping the service.
The packed agenda, which will feature such notables as Robert Jacobson, president and CEO of In Demand Networks, Jim Riley, chief sales and strategy officer at TVN, Lisa Schwartz, executive vice president, operations and business development at IFC Entertainment, Jen Soch, vice president, activation director, advanced TV, MediaVest and Diana Kerekes, vice president of video content, Comcast.
There will also be keynote addresses on "The State of VOD" by Bob Benya, senior vice president of on demand product management at Time Warner Cable and Cablevision Systems Corp. executive vice president, advanced platform sales Barry Frey, who will examine "How Cable is Making Waves by Providing Measurable Added-Value Consumer Engagement."
The OnDemand Summit concludes with a look at "The Future of On Demand" in which Multichannel News editor in chief Mark Robichaux will engage Comcast executive vice president of content Matt Bond in a conversation about what this platform will look like five year out.
