BronxNet, the public-access programmer in that New York City borough, is launching a new youth-targeted channel tonight (June 15).
It will be on channel 37 on the Verizon FiOS TV system and will be a programming block on Cablevision Systems channel 67, according to the programmer. The goal is a "multi-faced channel that allows young people to communicate about current issues, life, art, the environment, everything," the programmer said.
BronxNet, which has six channels on FiOS and four on Cablevision, is asking community residents to suggest a name for the channel. For more information, see the Web site BronxNet.org.
