VH1's New Reality: Three More Celebrity Series

Shows Starring TLC's Chilli, Salt n' Pepa's Pepa, I Love NY's The Entertainer On Tap For 2010

Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 6/29/2009 2:38:30 PM

VH1, continuing to enhance its reality lineup, has ordered a trio of self-titled shows.

TLC's "Chilli," Salt n' Pepa's "Pepa" and "The Entertainer" from the network's I Love NY and I Love Money will all star in new shows slated to hit VH1's airwaves next year.
The Chilli Project (working title) will star the former TLCer searching for romance with the help of relationship expert Tionna Smalls. The network has ordered eight half-hours from FremantleMedia North America.
For its part, the untitled Pepa series is being billed as a "real life comedy," following the exploits of Sandra "Pepa" Dalton as she searches for love after being celibate for four years. VH1 has picked up eight half hour episodes of the series.
Meanwhile, The Entertainer will trade on the format of network's other dating competition shows, as a number of bachelorettes will woo Frank "The Entertainer" Moresco's heart. As a bonus, they will help him extricate himself from his parent's basement. VH1 has ordered 10 one-hour episodes.
Elsewhere, VH1 officials said the service has also ordered a second season of Sober House with Dr. Drew and a seventh Celebrity Fit Club campaign.
