Time Warner Cable added the Start Over feature to digital cable customers in the Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., areas this week, the company said.
The service, which lets digital-cable users restart certain programs in progress (but disables fast-forwarding) after seeing an on-screen prompt, first launched in Columbia, S.C., before extending to other markets in North Carolina and in New York, Texas and Hawaii, with more coming in 2009.
At launch the feature is enabled on 10 networks in the Carolina region markets, TWC's Carolina region said: Fox Movie Channel, Fine Living, Hallmark Channel, Boomerang, National Geographic Channel, Tru TV, Noggin, Bio, Showtime and TMC East.
The goal is to have it enabled on 50 channels by year's end, the operator said on its Web site.
