Neil Schaffer has joined Canoe Ventures as senior vice president, finance. He had been CEO of Longview Consulting Group, which he founded in 2005.

Louis Gump has joined CNN.com as vice president, mobile. He comes from The Weather Channel Interactive, where he was VP, mobile.
Cox
Cox Communications has elevated Mark Kaish as senior vice president, technology operations. He had been VP, voice development and support.
Also, Steve Marsh advanced to vice president, technology customer operations; Sung Yang was upped to vice president, technology product development and OSS; and Guy McCormick was promoted to vice president, technology business operations.

James Gilbey has been named vice president, group creative director at Discovery Communications. He had led the creative department at Discovery Networks Europe.

Tom Lookabaugh has joined San Diego-based Entropic Communications as chief technology officer. He comes from PolyCipher, where he led development of cryptography and security systems for the U.S. cable industry.

Scott Guthrie has joined MTV Games as executive vice president, general manager. He had been VP, publishing at THQ.
Also, David Cox joined MTV Games as senior vice president, sales. He was senior director, sales and merchandising at Sony Computer Entertainment America.

Roberto Bagatti was upped to vice president, creative of MTV Networks International and creative director of its Milan, Italy-based World Design Studio. He had been creative director of MTV Networks South Europe.
Also, Jose Tolosa advanced to senior vice president, strategy and business development, MTV Networks International and MTV Networks Latin America, based in Miami. He was VP, strategy and business development, MTVNLA.
