Movie Net's 'Fascination With Fear' Special Promotes Annual Stunt

Movie proponent ReelzChannel has reeled in a half-hour feature touting Discovery Channel's annual summer stunt, "Shark Week."
In partnership with Discovery, Reelz will premiere Fascination with Fear: Spotlight on July 27 at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Hosted by Gerrad Hall, the half-hour show explores movies that prompt fear like sharks do to evoke in swimmers. Deal terms were not disclosed.
Honoring Shark Week, Fear opens with a segment focusing on Steven Spielberg's Jaws that features clips from Discovery's new program Blood in the Water, which kicks off the stunt at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Aug. 2. In a further tribute to Shark Week, Hall will dive into his own fears at the show's end, hosting from a within a cage in shark-infested waters.
The show will also give viewers a rundown of the silver screen's most memorable scary moments, from Hitchcock classics like Psycho and Academy award-winners like Silence of the Lambs to modern thrillers like No Country for Old Men, and the famous T-Rex scene from Jurassic Park.
In another segment, Reelz will examine the way music and sound effects are used to create suspense.
