Unveils Trio Of Tribute Show To Late King Of Pop

MTV will commemorate its 28th anniversary with a tribute to the late Michael Jackson.
On Saturday Aug. 1, MTV will present a trio of new tribute shows to the King of Pop.
Beginning at noon (ET/PT), MTV will air the world premiere of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, a half-hour special featuring candid stories about the man, rather, than the entertainer, from his friend and colleagues.
At 12:30 p.m., MTV will showcase 90 minutes of Jackson's most popular videos as decided by the number of streams on mtv.com. Michael Jackson's Top 10 Video Countdown will also feature facts and trivia about each video, as well as rare interview footage of MJ discussing his hit singles.
Another world premiere, Michael Jackson's Influence on Music, is scheduled for 2 p.m. The hour-long special comprises a collection of the top videos from the many artists, including Usher and Justin Timberlake, who have been influenced by Jackson. MTV will also feature streaming messages from artists remembering him, along with exclusive interviews about the impact Jackson had on their music and their lives.
MTV will cap the moment with an encore presentation of America's Best Dance Crew - Michael Jackson's Thriller at 3 p.m. In this special installment, dance crews choreograph their own moves to tracks from Jackson's landmark album, celebrating its 25th anniversary.
