SCTE Elects Seven Board Members
Board To Select Chairman, Other Senior Officials At October Meeting

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers has elected seven members of the organization's 2009 board, who will in turn select the SCTE's chairman and other senior board members in October.The newly elected directors will take office to begin their two-year terms on Oct. 27, to coincide with the start of SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo 2009 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. The nominations were announced in April.
At the SCTE board meeting on Oct. 27, members are scheduled to pick a successor to SCTE chairman Tom Gorman, who has served since July 2007 and is ineligible to be re-elected to the post, as well as other officials. Gorman will continue to serve on the board, having just been elected to one of SCTE's two director-at-large seats.
The newly elected directors are:
Region 1 Director: Ed Marchetti, Comcast (representing California, Hawaii, Nevada)
Region 2 Director: Frank Eichenlaub, Cisco Systems (representing Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming)
Region 6 Director: David Haigh, Midcontinent Communications (representing Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin)
Region 9 Director: Ken Williams Jr., Cox Communications (representing Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Puerto Rico)
Region 11 Director: Roger Hughes, Armstrong Cable (representing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania)
Director-At-Large: Tom Gorman, Charter Communications
Director-At-Large: Patrick O'Hare, Comcast
