Si TV Raises $8.75M in Private Offering
Latino-Focused Network Looks to Raise $6M More

Latino cable network Si TV raised about $8.75 million in funding through a private stock offering and wants to find another $6 million, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

According to the Aug. 7 filing, the network is looking to raise $14.7 million in Series B preferred shares. The privately held network was founded in 1997 by writer/producer Jeff Valdez and entrepreneur Bruce Barshop as a production company to develop, produce and distribute original English-language, Latino- themed entertainment.
The network launched in 2004 and received more than $60 million in initial funding from investors including EchoStar Communications Corp., Time Warner Inc., SYNCOM Funds, Columbia Capital, Rho Ventures, DND Capital Partners, Llano Partners and company co-founder Barshop Ventures.
SiTV has more than 19 million subscribers.
