Springsteen To Host NFL Network Special
Show To Focus On Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show

Legendary singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen will narrate a Sept. 7 documentary for the NFL Network chronicling his Super Bowl XLIII halftime performance.
The one-hour Working On A Dream: A Super Bowl Journal documentary will take viewers behind the scenes of Springsteen & The E Street Band's 12-minute performance during halftime of the NBC-televised Pittsburgh Steelers-Arizona Cardinals NFL championship game. The Feb. 1 game, won by the Steelers, drew a record 151.6 million viewers.
In the documentary, Springsteen takes viewers inside the band's trailer prior to performing and relays the sights and sounds he experienced from center stage.
"The NFL threw us an anniversary party the likes of which we'd never throw for ourselves with fireworks and everything" said Springsteen in a statement "I love playing long and hard, but it was the 35 years in 12 minutes...that was the trick. You start here, you end here, that's it."
NFL vice president of programming Charles Coplin said the documentary will give fans an inside look at the halftime performance from Springsteen's perspective. "This documentary is a dream combination of football and music that will bring fans back to that most memorable of halftime shows."
