The following is a list of upcoming original cable programming from Sept. 14, 2009, to December 2009. "Original programming" means brand-new premieres, no acquired shows or fare available via broadcast TV, home video or in movie theaters. Specials spun off of existing series are included, but new episodes of established series do not qualify. The list includes mostly basic-cable networks with large distribution, though some premium networks have been included. The list was compiled by Leslie Jaye Goff.
