As expected, cable dominated the Emmys television movies category, with HBO's Grey Gardens winning three statuettes.
The film, about two eccentric relatives of Jacqueline Onassis; won top honors for best telemovie. Jessica Lange beat out Grey Gardens co-star Drew Barrymore for the best actress in a movie or miniseries award. Ken Howard took home the best supporting actor Emmy for his performance in the movie. .
Also, Shohreh Aghdashloo won for best supporting actress role in a movie or miniseries for HBO's House Of Sadaam, while Brendan Gleeson won for best actor in the category for his performance in HBO's Into The Storm.
