Verizon Aims at Cable With Q4 Promos
Telco Offers $150 Prepaid Card; DSL Users Can Get Three Months Free

Verizon Communications is targeting cable with two new signup promotions, offering new FiOS bundle subscribers $150 pre-paid Visa cards and DSL customers three months free Internet service.
The offers are available starting Monday, Sept. 21, and run
through Dec. 31.
On the FiOS front, in addition to a $150 Visa prepaid card, new customers ordering qualifying bundles also will receive a 24-month price guarantee and free premium installation. Plus, FiOS triple-play customers who order qualifying midtier and top-tier bundles will receive three months free of their choice of HBO and Cinemax movie channels or an international in-language programming package.
Existing FiOS customers who add a qualifying new FiOS TV or Internet service also are eligible for the Visa prepaid card and the two-year price guarantee. In addition, according to Verizon, customers who sign up online will receive an extra $5 a month off their monthly price for voice service for one year.
New Verizon DSL customers, meanwhile, are eligible for to receive three months free high-speed Internet service if they agree to a one-year contract. The offer is also available to customers who do not want a service bundle with Verizon voice calling plans. DSL pricing after three months is $19.99 per month for up to 1 Megabit-per-second downloads; $29.99 per month for 3 Mbps; and $39.99 per month for the 7.1-Mbps tier.No related content found.
