Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 9/29/2009 12:18:08 PM

AMC has take many viewers prisoner when its second original miniseries bows in November.

The network will premiere its six-part reinterpretation of The Prisoner with the first two installments on Nov. 15 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Two episodes will air on each of the following evenings.
Each episode of AMC's miniseries will also be available on demand the day following the linear premiere with select cable operators, according to network officials.

Fans can watch all 17 episodes of the original 1960s The Prisoner in full screen on www.amctv.com.
Leading in to The Prisoner premiere will be The Matrix Revolutions (2003), beginning at 5.p.m., part of an all-day airing of The Matrix trilogy, starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne.
An AMC co-production with UK producer Granada and ITV, The Prisoner tells the story of a man, Six (Jim Caviezel), who wakes up to find himself inexplicably trapped in a mysterious and surreal place, The Village, with no memory of how he arrived. As he frantically explores his new environment, he discovers that Village residents are identified by number, have no memory of any prior existence, and are under constant surveillance. The Village is controlled by one man - the sinister and charismatic Two (Ian McKellen).
AMC executives are hopeful that The Prisoner can resonate like its initial miniseries entry, Broken Trail, the Emmy-winning western that keyed its push into original series production with two-time Emmy drama winner Mad Men and Breaking Bad, for which Bryan Cranston has won a pair of statues for his portrayal of Walt White.
