AT&T is targeting Charter Communications with the launch of U-verse TV, Internet and voice services in parts of southeast Louisiana beginning Monday, Oct. 5.
The telco said U-verse services will be available to order next week in parts of St. Tammany, Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes. As in other markets, AT&T is pushing the "quad play" of TV, broadband, home phone and wireless services.
"Cable has been the only game in town for too long, and we're excited to change that today," said Bonnie Denson, general manager of consumer markets for AT&T's Gulf States region. "We know customers want a better choice to break free from cable, and AT&T U-verse is the answer."
AT&T touts an HD channel lineup of more than 110 channels; interactive TV features such as personalized, on-screen weather, sports, traffic and stock information; and the ability to stream your personal photos and music files from your PC to your TV.
