Cox's Hatfield Replaces Bowick On SCTE Foundation Board

MCN Staff -- Multichannel News, 10/7/2009 4:13:56 PM

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers announced that Cox Communications chief technology officer Scott Hatfield has been appointed to the SCTE Foundation board of directors, filling a vacancy created when Chris Bowick retired as Cox's CTO and stepped down from the Foundation board this past June.

Hatfield joins the 11-member board of the SCTE Foundation, the organization's charitable arm, which has distributed almost $140,000 in grants to let SCTE members continue their education and development. The SCTE Foundation was established in 2005.

Hatfield joined Cox as chief information officer in January 1996. He took over management of the operator's consolidated technology group in December 2008 and officially assumed the CTO spot in June.
